I grew up hunting and fishing in the foothills of North Carolina. As a

child I developed a love for dogs, especially hunting dogs. If I wasn’t

playing sports I was hunting or fishing. I graduated from North Carolina

State with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife, and worked as a North

Carolina Wildlife Officer. As a Wildlife Officer I graduated from the

Ventosa Canine Academy, and worked as a K-9 officer. My K-9 partner

Bonnie, a black Labrador Retriever, started my love for the Labrador

breed. This led to me acquiring Bonnie’s sister, Maggie, and the

beginning of what is now One Oak Kennels. One Oak Kennels, located in

Mocksville, NC, is truly a one of a kind kennel. I currently breed elite

working Labradors, and many of my dogs are well loved hunting partners.

I also train in obedience, gun dogs, tracking, antler detection, and

service dogs. I’m very excited for the opportunity to be part of the Old

River Pro Staff.
